Monday Bites: June 9, 2025

Your Quick Look At The Week Ahead

Welcome to this bite-size issue of Austin Business Review, with a quick look at this week’s best upcoming business events (plus something fun for the weekend).

I started this quick Monday edition because cool stuff often pops up after the Thursday issue goes out. Example: This fascinating talk on AI + Energy, featuring Cully Cavness, Co-founder of Crusoe, which just raised $11.6B to build data centers in TX.

Use this list to plan your week fast, and I’ll see you Thursday for the full-length newsletter.

PS. The events that weren’t in Thursday’s list are marked in red to help repeat readers find the new stuff faster. Shout out to my pal Bradley Mankoff for the idea.

One for the Weekend…

If you’ve been reading this newsletter for a while, you’ve seen me write about Antonelli’s a few times. The artisanal cheese shop, owned by husband-wife duo John and Kendall Antonelli for more than 15 years.

They do tons of cool tasting events, and this weekend, they’re hitting the water with this Cheese-y Boat Cruise – a 7-course interactive tasting featuring cheeses paired with unique sides, like pickled vegetables, honey, chocolate, cured meats, etc., plus red, white, or sparkling wine to suit your taste.

Basically… Take your cheese-board game to the next level, while getting drunk on a boat. For the land-lovers among us, they’ve also got:

  • June 15: Champagne and Caviar

  • June 21: This ridiculous Raclette Experience 🤤

  • July 2: A Workshop on making Butter & Mozzarella

You can snag tickets or see their full lineup here.

That’s all for today! Keep an eye out Thursday for the full-length edition, including more upcoming events, insights, and opportunities to grow here in Austin.

Email me here to share any feedback, or let me know about an event you’re hosting.
